The vegan Cica Tea Tree AHA PHA Toner from Mary & May is made for skin with acne and scarring. The active formula uses exfoliants gluconolactone and citric acid to soften and disloge pore-cogging gunk, while tea-tree, niacinamide and cica extracts act as anti-inflammatories to soothe redness. Plus, the toner also contains Aquaxyl™, which is a patented, plant-based ingredient described by its manufacturer as a "magic moisturizer". Hard to not love the sound of that! It is meant to both increase the presence of NMFs (Natural Moisturizing Factors such as hyaluronic acid) in the skin, as well as prevent moisture loss. This is critical when you're using acid exfoliants, so your skin won't dry out and damage your barrier (which, in turn, can worsen acne).

HOW DO I USE IT?
After cleansing, apply a moderate amount (using a cotton pad or your fingers) and gently pat on the skin to aid absorption. Follow with your favourite serums and moisturizer. Want to get the best out of its exfoliating abilities? Make sure you use a low-pH cleanser first, like this one.
Precautions:
